RHYMES FOR A REASON: Gone With The Wind
What I love about fried eggs, are their cheerful yolks standing proud in translucent cloaks.
I love the way these golden souls
spread sunshine onto each new day.
I love the way they lay in wait
for company on my breakfast plate.
Bangers, beans, fungi too
and then a little more.
I don't count up the calories
or watch cholesterol soar.
I simply say to slimmers
munching meusli by the gram;
as Rhet Butler said to Scarlett,
"FRANKLY ----- I DON'T GIVE A DAMN"
By Mrs B Adamson, Drakehouse Lane, Sheffield S20.
