Discovering Longshaw guided walks, every WED and SUN from Longshaw Visitor Centre at 11am, about 2 hours on a variety of routes. Drop in and they’re free.

Sheffield Wanderers, SUN 14 DEC. Castleton. A 9.5 mile round walk which is both hilly, and at times, difficult under foot. The route takes us from Castleton through Cave Dale to Mam Tor from where we walk along the ridge via Back Tor to Lose Hill. From here it’s downhill all the way to Hope and a riverside walk back to Castleton to finish the walk. Optional drink and bite to eat at the George after the walk. Meet outside the information centre car park in the centre of Castleton, postcode S33 8WN at 10.0. Friday, Wyming Brook. 4.5 mile circular walk which starts at Redmires upper reservoir and using mainly moorland paths and country tracks, will take us down to the Rivelin, and back via Wyming Brook. Meet at 9.45 at the car park on Redmires Road which is just opposite Upper Redmires Reservoir (3rd reservoir).
