Punslinger Tim Vine is on his way back to Yorkshire. Leading stand up comedy star Tim Vine has announced a date at York’s Grand Opera House next year.
The punslinger returns with a new stand up show, silly songs and twitchy dancing. Joke, joke, joke. Prop, prop, prop. Song, song, song. (Sorry, the laptop’s jammed). It’s time to put the satire on hold and watch a grown man act the goat. Come along and enjoy the nonsense.
Writer, actor, comedian and presenter Tim Vine, known for his role on the BBC series Not Going Out, broke the Guinness World Record for the most jokes told in an hour with 499, beating the previous record of 362. Each joke told had to get a laugh from the paying audience to count towards the record. He held the record until May 2005, when Australian comedian, Anthony “Lehmo” Lehmann told 549 jokes.
In April 2014, the record was reassigned back to him following a decision from Guinness World Record officials.
Tickets for the show on May 22, 2015 are priced at £22 and are available in person from the theatre box office, or call ATG box office on 0844 871 3024, to book online go to www.atgtickets.com/york
