A disused and run-down garage has been sold at auction for a shed load of money.
The workshop, which is 12.1m by 9.4m had a guide price of £25,000 but actually went for £80,000 during an auction.
Estate agent Eadon, Lockwood and Riddle, said the building, which is in the heart of Calver near Bakewell, in the Peak District, was fought over by 20 bidders.
Nick Riddle ELR director said: “The saying goes that one man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure but in this case what appears to be a derelict old site is actually a fantastic opportunity.
He added: “The fact the sale went far above the asking price does not suggest property prices have gone through the roof, but that business sites in great locations are doing very well in the current market.”
