Sheffield City Hall will welcome national treasure Stephen Fry to the Irwin Mitchell Oval Hall on Sunday 28th September 2014 when he brings his new tour Stephen Fry Live! to the city.

The QI star will appear in a rare live show at Sheffield City Hall to mark the publication of the brand new volume of his autobiography.

Stephen Fry Live! at Sheffield City Hall is part of a short five date UK tour to promote his new memoirs. Audiences can expect to be regaled with hilarious, yet courageously frank accounts of Stephen’s life with excerpts from the latest volume of his life story. The Perrier Comedy Award winner is an established author, having published a number of books from novels including The Liar and The Stars’ Tennis Balls to non-fiction works such as Last Chance to See.

Stephen Fry is perhaps best known for his award-winning role as the host of QI on BBC2 and his collaborations with long-time friend Hugh Laurie, however, he is also an accomplished actor, comic and presenter in his own right.

In a career that has spanned over 30 years since his first television appearance in The Cellar Tapes, Fry has appeared in various genres of programme from comedy to serious drama including the title role in Kingdom, through to his most recent role alongside Kiefer Sutherland in 24: Live Another Day.

As well as acting roles, Stephen has also featured in several documentaries including the Emmy Award-winning Stephen Fry: The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive and Stephen Fry in America in which he visited all 50 US States.

His second autobiography ‘The Fry Chronicles’ was the biggest selling autobiography of 2010 having sold over one million copies. Every member of the audience at the Sheffield show will receive a free copy of the book.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see the multi-award-winning comedian, actor, presenter, writer and raconteur on stage live in a one-man comic tour de force.
