Outroads gems out on the road
MANY of us enjoy a good takeaway come the end of the night and now Outroads have provided just that – in an aural sense – by releasing a live DVD.
The Dog & The Lantern, out today, catches Geoff and Eddy in action in the flesh with fresh interpretations of tracks from their Only The Lonely? EP and Goodbye To All That album.
"Outroads are a band which, once heard, attract loyalty and emotion from listeners," says Ricardo Lacombe of Troika Ltd, who have made the DVD.
It comes ahead of new album The 1st and 2nd Line, due next year.
"With a unique mixture of blues, country, folk and downright originality, Outroads are one of the most uncatergorized and truly expressive bands around."
The Sheffield act has toured as far as Australia and were hand-picked to represent the UK at Chile's Vina Del Mar Festival in 2006 where they were backed by a 60-piece orchestra playing to 15,000 and millions more on TV across the Americas.
