NEWS IN BRIEF: Flock along to nest box event

BIRD lovers are invited to join a national campaign to attract more birds into their gardens.

In a Chesterfield council event at Queen’s Park next Friday, February 17, outside the North Lodge Café, 10am-4pm, participants can make nest boxes for the garden or park. Book on 01246 345 737.

New audition time

auditions for the Live and Unsigned competition postponed because of snow will now be at Sheffield City Hall this Friday. The competition has a £10,000 cash prize. Log on to www.liveandunsigned.uk.com for audition times.

Keep your hat on

ANOTHER well-known face is backing Sheffield Cathedral Archer Project’s Woolly Hat fundraising day on Friday. Former Lord Mayor Coun Diane Leek will be sponsored in aid of the centre for homeless and vulnerable people.
