National final to test Kortni love
IT'S the end of a long journey for Sheffield musical miss Kortni who is in the national grand final of Live and Unsigned tomorrow.
She will walk away with a record contract if she lands the title at Portsmouth Guildhall, having made it through 10,000 registered entries and several heats.
The judging panel tomorrow includes former Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren, Radio 1's Annie Nightingale and, ahem, Dane Bowers.
"This year's standard has been higher than ever," says events director Chris Grayston.
"We have seen some really serious acts that are demonstrating a real wealth of talent, experience and determination."
As well as a management and record deal, if she wins Kortni will get an investment of up to 20,000 to release a single including professional studio time and promotional campaigns.
All finalists will be invited on the UK Live and Unsigned tour in front of 40,000 people.
