Axe is axed as credit crunches
TOUGH times have prompted the guitarist of The Harringtons to flog a prized instrument on the eve of the Barnsley band's next single.
As debut single Set In Our Ways emerges on Monday, the unsigned outfit unafraid to top their energetic wares with a hometown accented vocal are using proceeds from Jake's beloved Gibson to help fund life on the road.
Touting a brief for honest, straight-forward music that works well and gets to the point, The Harringtons' anthemic single is a sign of our times-type belter that might not make them stars but sets out their agenda for a wider crowd that likes bands that don't so much whine as tell us all to get on with it.
Next chance to catch them locally is their hometown BOMfest on July 25.
