Jungle Boogie is the theme for this year’s Sharrow Lantern Carnival, to be held on April 9, leaving from Mount Pleasant Park.

There will be a series of free workshops running every weekend ahead of the carnival, to give residents a chance to perfect their own lantern, and this weekend lots of crafting fun will get under way at The Old Junior School, on South View Road.

The workshops will run from 1pm to 5pm this Saturday and Sunday.

All workshops are subject to volunteer availability, so organisers recommend to check before going.
