Sheffield’s Dressmakers Workshop is holding its regular Knit and Natter event for a worthy cause.

Sheila Constance, who runs the store on Wortley Road, High Green, is holding the event between noon and 2pm on Saturday.

She said: “Come along and share your hand-craft skills with others or learn for yourself. All are welcome and there will be a raffle and refreshments. November’s charity will be Sheffield Children’s Hospital Spinal Ward.”

Sheila said money raised from recent Knit and Natter sessions has been £65 for the World Society for the Protection of Animals, £20 for High Green in Bloom and £100 for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Sheila added that Dressmakers Workshop is now enrolling for its winter term of dressmaking and creative development classes.

Sessions are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

“It’s the chance to learn how to make the garments you always wanted,” Sheila said.

Places for the classes must be booked in advance.
