If switching to a meat-free diet was your New Year resolution, discover how varied vegetarian food can be at a gourmet night in Sheffield.
Following a successful veggie evening on in December, Jon Tite, award-winning sous chef at The Showroom, is staging a £28 a head celebration of meat-free meals on March 28.
“I love opening people’s eyes to the array and endless possibilities of vegetarian food,” said Jon. “I’m still dreaming up the menu for March, but expect some interesting uses of seasonal ingredients.”
The Showroom’s vegetarian nights won a special recognition award at this year’s Eat Sheffield Awards and Jon has also twice been a finalist in the Vegetarian Society’s Cordon Vert ‘Chef of the Future’ competition.
Jon’s veggie burger recipe features in the new Henderson’s Relish cook book, which is also available from the Showroom Bar or the Box Office.
