A CHARITY golf day in Chesterfield raised £1,500 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, after 68 golfers took part.
The event at Tapton Park Golf Course was organised by health insurance provider Westfield Health, in association with Sheffield International Venues, which runs Tapton Park.
Money raised will go to the South Yorkshire branch of MND, which provides support for people in the region who are affected by the condition, as well as their family and friends.
Event organiser Peter Taylor, from Westfield Health, said: “The golf day was a huge success, raising an excellent amount of money for the MND Association and we now hope to make this an annual event.
“We felt the association is a worthy cause which works to help the people of South Yorkshire living with MND.”
