Thousands of visitors turned up to a major gardening show in Sheffield which transformed the Botanical Gardens.
Wet weather on the opening day of the two-day Garden Up event failed to dampen the spirits of both visitors and traders.
Organisers hailed the show a success and said many traders have already signed up to next year’s event.
Richard Nicolle, who has five years’ experience of involvement with the Hampton Court Flower Show, said: “I’m glad to say Garden Up has been a fantastic success and all the work undertaken by a great team of people has paid off.
“We’re now looking forward to coming back with bigger and better in 2015 and building on the great achievements of this weekend.”
Show gardens, Royal Horticultural Society experts, artists, sculptors and markets were all on show.
The gardens were divided into four main zones – including one for show gardens, one for markets and another focusing on innovation, as well as a children’s area.
