Have your say

You can’t beat tasty fruit and vegetables which you’ve grown yourself.

They make just a short journey from allotment or garden to plate, and fill both the chef and the gardener with delight.

Growing your own produce is on the rise and hundreds of families across South Yorkshire are enjoying feasting on the products of their hard work at this time of year.

We certainly have lots of green-fingered Star readers as this collection of photos show.

They have grown impressive crops of everything from tomatoes and runner beans to squashes, marrows, potatoes and even aubergines.

Keep sending us your photos – whatever the subject – so we can share them with our readers.

And don’t forget we print two pages of your celebration photos in The Star every Monday.

Email your wedding, birthday, anniversary and party images to nancy.fielder@thestar.co.uk

You can also post them to me, Nancy Fielder, The Star, York Street, Sheffield, S1 1PU.
