FREE football sessions are being run by police and council workers in Newbold to keep young people off the streets.
The KickR training sessions are run by officers from Safer Neighbourhood policing teams and staff from Chesterfield Borough Council.
PCSO Steve Bircumshaw, of the Dunston, Moor and St. Helen’s Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “It’s a great opportunity for young people to improve their skills and enjoy football, but it also offers an alternative to gathering on the streets or being bored at home.
“KickR has been run successfully in the area during the school holidays and we hope that these sessions will be just as popular.”
The sessions run every Monday between 6.30pm and 7.30pm at Newbold Community School sports hall.
