The volunteers will assist community safety teams and will help out at the Lifewise Centre in Hellaby, Rotherham, which the county’s police and fire services use to deliver community safety work.

A volunteers Events Facilitator is also wanted for the Lifewise Centre, a Community Safety volunteer, and an Assistant Cadet Leader.

A Fire Service spokesman said: “The traditional image of the fire and rescue service is of firefighters tackling incidents, but the work we do goes much wider than this.
