THE recently-restored 18th century Boston Castle, off Moorgate, in Rotherham, will be the venue for a talk about Victorian Moorgate on Friday, December 14.

Author and historian Peter, of the Rotherham District Civic Society, will give a talk from 1pm until 2.30pm.

Two days later on Sunday, December 16, a children’s Christmas crafts session will be held at the castle at the castle.

The free event, which will take place from 11am until 3pm, will give youngsters the opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit by making lanterns, pomanders and ceramic decorations.

Refreshments will be on sale.

Children must be accompanied at the event by an adult and there is no need to book places, but to book for the talk call Clifton Park Museum on 01709 336633.
