Youngsters getting ready to monkey around for The Twits
THESE youngsters are the latest in the line of young talent to hit the stage at Doncaster Little Theatre.
Matthew Ashman, aged 11, Matthew Anelay, 13, Angeline Christy, 10, Naomi Lovell, aged 11, Elizabeth Kirby, nine, and Leah Nettleship, also nine, are among the stars of a production of Roald Dahl's The Twits next month.
The budding actors and actresses are part of the King Street venue's Young Lit group.
In the story, Mr and Mrs Twit are an ugly, smelly, disgusting yet ingenious couple who enjoy playing nasty tricks on one another. They amuse themselves training their pet monkeys to be part of their dream upside-down Monkey Circus.
The new actors will play the parts of the monkeys and birds, whilst Mr and Mrs Twit are played by Little Theatre regulars, Angela Wren and Nikki Windmill.
The Twits opens on Saturday April 11, with a matinee at 2pm and an evening show at 7pm, and runs until Saturday April 18. There is no show on Easter Monday.
