When I paint my masterpiece: Dylan art display

ANOTHER exhibition of graphics by the legendary American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan will be held at the Bawtry Limited 2 Art gallery on Saturday from 10am to 5pm.

The display of eight new limited edition watercolour and gouache paintings at the gallery in The Courtyard is part of Dylan's second worldwide launch of his hand-signed artwork.

The gallery is one of a limited number of outlets across the country where the work of 68-year-old Dylan is being shown.

The first worldwide launch last year of Dylan's The Drawn Blank Series proved that his work is hugely popular and widely collected.

Helping to re-create the sound of Dylan at the exhibition will be local guitarist and singer Martin Greening, a 19-year-old Misson man who studied music technology at Doncaster College and works part time as a waiter in the Courtyard Caf in Bawtry.

On the day of the exhibition the Dylan lookalike will be performing a selection of his well-known classics.

Martin is no stranger to performing – he and Tickhill's Matthew Lister, John Burton from Worksop, and Tom Fletcher from Retford play together regularly as the Little Thoughts band.

Art lovers can obtain more information about the Bob Dylan exhibition from gallery owner Ruth Worsman on 01302 711189.
