Have your say

It’s what’s on the inside that counts, not the outside; undoubtedly, you love each other because of who you are.

But on your wedding day, every bride and groom wants to look their absolute best.

It’s an expensive business, though - wedding dresses can cost as much as a car. Kitting out the groom and his men is costly too. Then there’s the bridesmaid. And not forgetting the beautiful finishing touch now wedding is complete without - the flowers.

Don’t worry, though; we’ve thought of all that.

The lucky couple who walk down the aisle with our fabulous £15,000 wedding day prize package will do so in style.

Up and coming young fashion designer Kelly Marie Redhead launched her company under her own name just four months ago and has offered to design our winning bride a totally bespoke wedding gown to the value of £900.

The 23-year-old from Winterton near Scunthorpe, who graduated with a first class masters degree in fashion design from Sheffield Hallam University, will have some stunning ideas to discuss. She’s worked with up and coming Sheffield designer Nabil Nayal and also with long-respected Doncaster bridal boutique Tickled Pink while still a student, and was a finalist in the Best Student Designer of the Year Bridal Buyer Awards 2013.

KMR Bespoke Bridal Design offers a full design and consultation service and its made-to-measure gowns start at £900.

“I give brides the chance to have a dress created to suit her own personality and her day,” says Kelly Marie. “It’s a myth that bespoke, made to measure dresses are prohibitively expensive. Buying off the peg from a bridal shop often means you pay much more.”

We have award-winning local hair and make-up artist Jenn Edwards on hand to beautify our bride and her bridesmaid to the tune of £305.

The bride’s bouquet, her bridesmaid’s flowers and buttonholes for five (to a value of £150) will be hand-made by Flourish Flowers in Crookes. Owner Laura Peters, 27,has a large portfolio of her work to give brides some ideas She’s created flowers for many a wedding at the Botanical Gardens, where the winner of our wedding competition will plight their troth before heading to Whirlowbrook Hall for a reception for 40 and an evening party for 80.

Youngs at Debenhams will be turning out the groom and four of his men in fine style. The store has an extensive hire wear collection in almost every size. Suits range from on-trend designs and colour palettes to classic and traditional tailcoats and all the important accessories a man needs.
