Tut lands real ale honour

A TOWN centre pub has completed a hat-trick of Pub of the Season awards from real ale enthusiasts.

The Tut 'n' Shive in West Laith Gate is regarded as a genuine alehouse by CAMRA members because landlord Nick Coster has been consistently serving real ale since 2000.

His summer pub of the season honour follows similar seasonal awards in autumn 2001 and four years later.

The Tut 'n' Shive has also been listed in the national Good Beer Guide for many years after it was the first pub in Doncaster to achieve Cask Marque accreditation.

Members will present the certificate to Nick and his staff at the pub on August 10.
