In the spirit of laziness, I decided it was high time to find out how easily I could get a decent Chinese delivered in the Hillsborough end of the city.
I picked onChinese 2night, based in Wisewood, and an hour later, roast pork chow mein, chicken foo yung and a portion of egg fried rice arrived.
The foo yung in particular was tasty but clean and without an oily aftertaste.
The egg fried rice was a little dry, and I would have preferred a touch more egg.
The spring onions, peppers and vegetables of the pork chow mein were crispy and fresh and the sauce just the right side of perfectly thick. But the sweet, fruity taste was a little overpowering, and the pork strips very small and a little miserly. Still, for £3.90 for each main and £2.50 for the rice, with £1 delivery, it was good value.
