Students pick up science prize
DONCASTER College students have picked up a science award after creating, marketing and selling their own lip balm creations.
The International Baccalaureate students took the Creativity prize in a regional competition against other schools and colleges as part of the University of Sheffield's Reactiv8 project.
As part of their science module, the students produced vanilla, strawberry and natural flavoured organic lip balm.
Ingredients, which included oil, beeswax and cocoa butter, were fair-trade and organic where possible.
The students sold out and made a profit.
