Student works way up to lecturer
NINE years ago, Tracey Baker enrolled on the Intermediate Office Skills course at Doncaster College – and now she's just become leader of the same course.
The Edlington woman worked her way through the various office skills qualifications the college has to offer before taking her teaching qualifications and joining the lecturing staff in 2002.
From September 2009, Tracey will officially become the Intermediate Office Skills Course Leader.
She said: "It feels good to have gained this position, especially since I studied on the same course. There is a great team here at the college and I'm proud to be part of it."
Tracey highlighted outgoing Doncaster Business School Deputy Director Chris Herzberg as one of her inspirations in teaching, as well as Maureen Sullivan for all her support.
Chris said: "Tracey was a fantastic student to teach, has been a fantastic lecturer and deserves this course leadership."
