Star Walks: Magna's earth, water, fire and air PODCASTS

ADULTS wanting to discover secrets from the latest in our Star Walks series will have to get down on their hands and knees but small children will have no trouble at all.

We are taking you inside Magna Science Adventure Centre to reveal little known facts about each pavilion and make sure the whole family gets the most out of every visit.

The former Rotherham steelworks that now houses Magna is divided up into four pavilions - earth, water, fire and air.

One of its main aims is to make the scientific world accessible and fun for children and we've recorded the podcasts with youngsters firmly in mind.

We've created a map for each pavilion which you can download for free, as well as a special recording to guide you around the highlights.

Along the way education director Stuart Ballard shares his favourite exhibits as well as pointing out a few displays that adults might well miss completely because they are quite literally at knee height.

Magna, which won awards at the White Rose Tourism Awards and Hospitality Sheffield Awards recently, opened in 2001 after a 46m Millennium Commission Lottery project within the former Templeborough steelworks building.

Our podcasts take you through some of the futuristic technology and interactive games as well as making sure you don't miss the original steel industry features.
