Eliot said: "When I saw the photos of the Sheffield children being used to communicate the legacy that the World Cup would leave in the city, I was inspired to write a song about the impact that this would have on them."

"World at Your Feet is the first song from the One Song Foundation. The money raised by this song will go into a sports fund which will be used to support sports clubs and groups in Sheffield City Region, particularly those addressing deprivation and disadvantage. It is exciting that we can put this money into feeding the roots of Sheffield sport on which so much of the city is based – from youth football teams to community walking clubs or general health and fitness."

Wayne Coyle, Director of the Sheffield 2018 bid, added: "It is fantastic to have an official sound track that truly represents what our Sheffield 2018 bid is all about. It is a real feel-good anthem which communicates legacy, Sheffield's international community and our passion for football. We hope to raise as many funds as possible for the charity which will, in turn, continue to grow the city's sporting offer and help create the sporting stars of the future here in Sheffield."

Coun Paul Scriven, Leader of Sheffield City Council, added: "I think the song brilliantly expresses the way people feel about the 2018 World Cup in Sheffield. Whether or not you enjoy football, hosting the tournament will be a once in a lifetime chance for us to celebrate our city's character and to show the world what a wonderful city the birthplace of football is."
