‘The future of TV viewing’ is how Samsung bills its latest slate of screens – with curves in all the right places.
The South Korean gadget giant has unleashed a range of curved TVs with an eye-popping 4K or ‘ultra high-definition’ resolution.
The curved TV looks like a normal screen from far away, but get up close and it’s clear the screen bends inwards on both sides – similar to the subtle curvature seen on an IMAX cinema screen.
It creates the impression of a picture which ‘surrounds’ the viewer, says Samsung.
Starting at about £1,600 for a 55-inch set and surging to £6,500 for a mammoth 78 inches, it’s not a cheap range, but it sure looks spectacular.
