I went to the pub to celebrate a friend’s birthday a couple of weeks ago. It was heaving and had a great atmosphere. We ate in a room at the back of the pub next to an open fire. I had a starter of pumpkin hummus and pitta bread which was delicious, followed by game pie with the best chips ever and a large portion of mushy peas – all drenched in Henderson’s relish. Nobody had any room for pudding, so we had a round of port to finish off the evening – wonderful! It was fantastic value for money and really tasty food.

“I would highly recommend this place. It is a fabulous Indian restaurant offering an amazing range of dishes and is great for a romantic meal for two, a corporate meal or a large family celebration. The customer service is exceptional - free poppadoms and pickles on arrival, very speedy and non-intrusive waiter service. They also offer a brilliant take out service with restaurant-quality dishes. We ordered a family meal on New Year’s Eve which was ready for collection within ten minutes of order, was piping hot and delicious.

We had a meal here and the food, service and atmosphere was impeccable. None of the dishes were dry or too greasy and our children loved the duck and rice dishes, too. We were in the private room for a party, which was excellent. The bar area had a pianist playing. The restaurant also caters for daytime meetings - it has delegate menus and a projector and screen set up in a private room.. An excellent all round venue for families, couples and business people alike. Highly recommended!
