Party time at restaurant

Have your say

A RESTAURANT in Sheffield is preparing to welcome the Olympic Torch in style.

Nonna’s, Ecclesall Road, has been selected as an official torch relay party venue by relay sponsors Coca-Cola.

It is holding its party on Monday to celebrate the torch’s journey along Ecclesall Road.

Forty children from Hunters Bar Junior School have been invited to an after-school pizza party on the terrace - giving a front-row view of the torch pasing - while, from 4pm, there will be a barbecue and pop-up bars ‘for everyone else’.

Visitors are also invited to guess the number of Coke bottles in the window display for a chance of winning tickets to the torch relay finale concert in London, featuring The Wanted and Eliza Doolittle on Thursday, July 26, and free Nonna’s pizzas for the duration of the Games.

Cable car ride for the torch

The Olympic Torch is set to soar over a Derbyshire valley when it visits the Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath next Friday.

The flame will be carried in a cable car up the rocky gorge accompanied by rising gymnastics star Dominick Cunningham.
