Parked lorry hit by a car
A LORRY driver had a rude awakening this morning when a car smashed into his parked vehicle as he slept in the cab.
The HGV was parked in a layby off Broomhouse Lane, Edlington, overnight when an Audi hit the rear of it at about 6am.
But by the time emergency services arrived at the scene the driver of the Audi had left, apparently uninjured.
Edlington fire crews made the vehicle safe and established the truck driver was not injured.
