Only here for the beer…

A SPECIAL meal with a real ale theme is being cooked up by chefs at Doncaster College.

Chef lecturers David Bird and Alan Ryman have concocted a five-course menu with a higher than usual alcohol content. O

ne course will be turbot on a bed of spinach with beer foam, followed by a pink grapefruit marinated in gin. The main course will be beef fillet with a mild ale glaze.

The Concertina Brewery at Mexborough and Old Mill Brewery at Snaith will be providing beers for the feast at The Hub, Doncaster Waterfront, on Thursday January 17.

The cost is 25 per head.
