Old George's ale award
A VILLAGE pub threatened with demolition a few years ago has won an award from Doncaster's real ale lovers.
The Campaign for Real Ale has named The Old George at Sykehouse as its district pub of the Season.
The Old George was saved from demolition three years ago when it was taken over by Paul and Sandra Nelson from Scunthorpe.
CAMRA members will present Paul and Sandra with their certificate on July 18.
