A CITROEN C2 found burning on Marshland Road, Moorends, Doncaster, had been deliberately set alight.

Firefighters called out to the blaze at 3.10am yesterday said flames had spread to a garage it was parked next to.

Fault causes fire

AN electrical fault was to blame for an Audi going up in flames on the driveway of a house on Southfield Road, Armthorpe, Doncaster.

The blaze was dealt with by firefighters.

Go On go online

SHEFFIELD folk are being challenged to get more out of life online.

The Go On Sheffield initiative is running workshops and taster sessions to educate people about the internet.

Raising a sweat

STAFF from the Theatres Department at Sheffield Children's Hospital swapped scrubs for sportswear to take part in charity dance workout.

More than 30 workers – including surgeons, nurses and theatre support staff and managers – took part in the Zumba Latin American dance session and raised 785 which has been donated to the Children's Hospital Charity.

Wildlife date

NATURE lovers in Sheffield are invited to a meeting of the Crabtree Ponds Reserve Advisory Group. The group will gather at New Roots Caf, Spital Hill, Burngreave at 6pm on Thursday.

SOLICITOR Taylor and Emmet has nominated St Luke's Hospice in Sheffield as its annual charity for 2011, launching fundraising efforts with a 250 donation.

The law firm supported Weston Park Cancer Hospital last year raising more than 1,800.

A MEADOWHALL store will be hosting free health checks on Wednesday. The tests will be held at the centre's Boots store in collaboration with the British Heart Foundation.
