Have your say

Natasha Sorrell, Crosspool-based stained glass artist and founder of, tried out last week’s children’s craft idea from Nicole Brown of Network Church:

“I thought Nicole’s jam jar lanterns sounded like cheap and easy things to make with my children in the run up to Christmas,” says Natasha. “My two daughters do enjoy their craft activities. It made for a fun-filled afternoon. We really enjoyed ourselves. And I was very impressed at how effective the finished results were. As a stained glass artist I design and restore leaded windows and run courses teaching people how to do it themselves. And I have to say, our little jam jars looked pretty good! I always appreciate new ideas that give easy, pleasing results. This was a fool-proof, safe way for children to achieve a stained glass effect and create jolly little lanterns which will light up the house at Christmas.”
