BOSSES at Doncaster's newest businesses opened the doors to show off their new site in the borough.
Mayor of Doncaster Peter Davies, and the Doncaster Council's cabinet member for business Coun Jonathan Wood, were invited to the opening of Scotts Miracle-Gro's new distribution hub at Armthorpe.
The site has created 25 new jobs initially, but that figure is expected to increase to between 40 and 50 during the peak shipping season.
The Scotts Miracle-Gro company is the world's largest marketer of branded consumer lawn and garden products with a multi-billion dollar turnover.
Dave Swihart, Senior Vice President of the Global Supply Chain for Scotts Miracle-Gro flew into Doncaster to officially cut the ribbon.
Matt Payne, Scotts UK logistics manager, said: "We chose Doncaster as the location for our main UK warehouse due to the excellent transport links and the close proximity to our production plant in Howden."
The new Scotts Miracle-Gro site is the fourth building at West Moor Park to be occupied.
