IT teach-in for pupils

EXPERTS from one of the world's leading computer companies will descend on University Centre Doncaster in March to host its Young Creatives' Roadshow.

The Centre at High Melton, operated by Doncaster College, will host the event on March 6 and 7. It is hoped about 250 schoolchildren and their teachers will attend the two-day event to see technology demonstrations and take part in free workshops.

University Centre Doncaster lecturer Dave Kirtlan is one of only 75 Apple Distinguished Educators in the country and has organised the event. He said: "Apple are not only offering this event free of cost, they are also providing coach transport to and from the event for schoolchildren – and providing lunch."
