Housing firm trades boost

COUNCIL housing firm St Leger Homes has given a boost to six apprentices by offering them work experience which will help them with their studies.

The six, who all live in Denaby Main or Conisbrough in Doncaster, will be with the organisation which manages homes for Doncaster Council until the end of March this year.

The apprentices, Dexter Aspinall, Lee Hoult, Paul Mullins, Connor Holme, Callum Brown and Kevin Coyne, are all based at the firm's Conisbrough depot.

They are studying at either Dearne Valley or North Nottinghamshire college.

David Ingall, St Leger Homes' training manager, said: "The apprentices have been working for qualifications but they needed to put their skills into practice in the world of work."

He added: "It is a pleasure to be able to give them this work experience and I hope it helps them with their studies and when they start applying for jobs."
