Hello new mums everywhere - can we help each other?

I’m Francesca, I’m 25 and I’ve just had a baby.

Around 370,000 babies are born every day.

Granted this statistic is one pinched from the internet, but whatever the true figure, it’s a lot.

Babies born into rich families, poor families, teenage parents and couples in their 40’s, single mums, two dads, the list is endless but you get the picture; it happens all the time, everywhere.

Reproducing has to be the most natural thing in the world and therefore the process of giving birth and everything that follows is innate, intuitive...instinctive, just like breathing right?

Wrong.

Little did I know how totally unprepared for the whirlwind of emotions and physical change that pregnancy and new motherhood would bring.

On the 1st of July last year we found out we were expecting our first baby, married for less than a year and living with my in-laws whilst renovating our new house, the timing was less than exemplary but it didn’t matter.

All I’d ever wanted was to be a mum, I’d found the perfect bloke and now I felt I was definitely the luckiest girl in the world.

But, ofcourse, there are ups and downs, the good the bad and the ugly.

So now, I want to share this journey through this weekly blog.

But most of all I want to hear from other parents out there, I’d love for this to become a resource for all mums, learners and veterans to share your experiences with me and other readers by adding your thoughts and comments.

If you have a problem maybe we can try and solve it, or at least thrash it out together.

Equally if you just want to share your joy or your little ones latest achievement that would be lovely too.

We’ll begin my (and your) Baby Blog in earnest in the next week - or so, depending if little Poppy leaves me alone long enough to reach for my laptop!

Keep your eyes on this website!
