Have your say on bus route revamp
TRANSPORT bosses are urging Doncaster residents to have their say on plans to revamp the borough's bus network before consultation closes on Friday.
South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive has drawn up plans for better buses, a simplified fare structure and cross-town connections in Doncaster.
A decision still has to be made whether to re-regulate services to carry out any improvements which go ahead.
They hope to get more people onto public transport to end declining bus use and increasing car use.
Consultation on its plans closes on Friday February 12.
The proposed new network includes a fleet of low-floor, quality buses, enhanced security, and a more stable network with fewer timetable changes.
David Young, SYPTE director of customer experience, said: "We believe these proposals are achievable and would make a real difference to the quality of bus services in Doncaster.
