Gas mains work warning to drivers
Work to lay a new gas main across Balby Road, Doncaster, will mean traffic disruption for the next three weekends.
Drivers are being warned of a series of weekend lane restrictions affecting a small section of the A630 from the grass verge next to the A60 Sandford Road to the service road on the other side of Balby Road.
Trenches will have to be dug across all five lanes. To minimise the disruption caused to motorists, the contractor has been limited to lane closures after 6.30pm on Saturday evening until 6am on the Monday morning, with restricted hours for noisy operations.
During the final weekend of March drivers will not be able to make a right turn from the main A630 into A60 Sandford Road.
From 6am on Sunday March 28 the service road between Earlesmere Avenue and St John's Road will be closed for up to five days for final gas connections to take place.
