PATRIOTISM reaches new heights as British heritage is celebrated in the latest sofa from Halo.
The Bensington Union Jack sofa has already caught the eye of Sheffield shoppers at Ponsford furniture store on London Road.
Created to celebrate the heritage of Manchester based Halo, a small antique shop turned international furniture manufacturer, the sofa fuses a British vintage design, using nail- head detailing and rolled arms, with a bright contemporary Union Jack finish.
The Bensington – upholstered in a distressed denim – was created by Halo head designer Tim Oulton.
He said: "The Union Jack is a classic design used in many art forms – it has become iconic from punk rock to the Spice Girls.
"The flag is a symbol of our individuality, pride and quirkiness as a nation and the Bensington encompasses this."
Ponsford director David Carter added: "We pride ourselves on our reputation as the region's leading furniture store. We continue to look for interesting and unique pieces and the Bensington is not just a head turner but a high quality piece of furniture, painstakingly upholstered in five finishing stages.
"We're delighted to be the first UK retailer to put it on the shop floor."
The Bensington Union Jack Sofa costs 2,459.
