Ex-students propelled into spotlight

A FILM by a group of former Doncaster College students is on TV nearly three years after it was made.

The short film Epidemic, filmed in early 2005 by Creative Music Technology degree students at the High Melton campus, is being shown on Propeller TV on Sky channel 195 as part of its rotation of student films.

Students Jon Chapman, Daniel Cooper, Cedric Coudyser, Ricky Loynes and Will Wilson were joined by actors on the Theatre Studies degree, Simon Read and Matthew Brey.

John Chapman said: "I think it turned out so well because everyone involved had the same vision for the film. It was an interesting script, a story that forced audiences to think about what they were seeing and of course, having the expertise of our tutor Grant Bridges to help us was great too."

The film is about media scaremongering over the war on terror, social decline, and the loss of trust in the religious establishment.
