College's award for prospectus

THE marketing team at Doncaster College is celebrating after learning its latest further education prospectus is up for a national award.

The prospectus is one of five on the shortlist for the Best Further Education Prospectus category at the highly-acclaimed Heist Awards, which take place at Madam Tussauds in London on May 8.

The Heist Awards celebrate excellence in education marketing, and are held in high esteem across the sector. A Heist spokesman said the college's prospectus was "one of a small number that reached the very high bar set by the judging panel."

Charlotte Hill and Cristen Huntington, joint heads of marketing at the college, said: "This is the culmination of some very hard work by all members of the marketing department, especially the designer Martin Stephenson.

"We believe it is in with a real chance of winning because of its innovative look which makes passersby immediately want to pick it up."

The book, which depicts the college as a place of fun using popular pixel imagery, contains details of all further education courses offered through Doncaster College.

Their department is also celebrating the news that its undergraduate prospectus has been included in the McNaughton review for the quality of its print.

Both prospectuses have been flying off the shelves since they launched in September. It was the first time the undergraduate prospectus had been published partly in CD format.
