Clean-up campaign to quiz residents
BOSSES behind a major clean-up campaign in Hyde Park are turning their attention to finding out if residents are happy with their efforts.
Doncaster Council's Neighbourhood Hit Squad is holding a consultation event to get feedback on the effectiveness of what has been a six month campaign in the area.
The project, funded by New Deal for Communities, has been tackling properties in a state of disrepair as well as advising residents on issues such as rubbish, crime and anti-social behaviour and helping the unemployed.
In addition health agencies, fire officers and the police have been involved in tackling wider issues such as offering advice on community safety, fire safety, improving health and increasing residents awareness on how to be more energy efficient.
The feedback event looking at the last six months will be on Thursday at Glasgow Paddocks from 1pm until 6pm. The project is now due to target Lower Wheatley in August.
