Celebrities urge doodlers to make their mark and boost charities
BARNSLEY doodlers are being urged to join local celebrities Dickie Bird and best-selling author Joanne Harris and put pen to paper for the fifth National Doodle Day.
The event on March 7 raises funds for Epilepsy Action and The Neurofibromatosis Association.
Other celebrity doodlers include Turner Prize winning artist Grayson Perry; TV presenter and gardener Alan Titchmarsh; singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and comedians Ricky Gervais, Jo Brand and David Baddiel.
People can vote for their favourite celebrity doodle by text.
And an online auction will be launched on eBay for 10 days, giving people the opportunity to buy their favourite sketch.
To take part pick up an entry card at any branch of Lloyds pharmacy for a 1.
All winners will have their work displayed in the Hall of Fame on the National Doodle Day website.
