Brothers join the Guards

TWO Doncaster brothers have both signed up together for a military career in the Coldstream Guards.

Carl and Ross Taylor, aged 20 and 17, who live in Broadway, Dunscroft, have just started 28 weeks of basic training at Catterick Barracks in North Yorkshire.

The former Hatfield Visual Arts College pupils were sworn in together by Sgt Ian Bacchus, of the famous guards regiment, and are hoping to serve together.

"Mum and dad can't wait for us to get on so we get a good career. They are a bit worried but we will be trained for it," said Ross.
