Bringing spooks to book

IF your Christmas didn't involve a seasonal ghost story with a local flavour then log on to the internet.

It's the site sent up by comic book writer Andrew Wooding, from Waterthorpe, and artist Mike Kazybrid, from Ecclesall, to chronicle their search for spooks around Sheffield. But it has an audience far and wide.

They are regular guests on the Paul & Spike Show of America's Radio Six International, and they've got a following Down Under, apparently.

So far, despite their best efforts, the duo have been spook-fre. But that doesn't stop them trying.

Their Real Christmas Ghost Story follows a trip to the nether regions of Sheffield Library's book stack to discover the paranormal side of the life of local librarians.

"When we started back in May we didn't realise how popular the site would become," says Mike.
