Amy Grady, a Conference Co-ordinator at Aizlewood Business Centre in Sheffield, reveals her best and worst beauty buys:
HIT: TIGI COLOUR GODDESS SET, £21.99, www.fragrancedirect.co.uk
This shampoo and conditioner set from the Tigi Bed Head range is amazing, The products give my hair a lovely, healthy look and really boost my hair colour. The toffee smell is so incredible that I could eat my hair after using them! The set is brilliant value for money; each product comes in huge pump dispensers that last for ages. I get mine on the internet as they work out a little more pricey at the hairdresser’s.
MISS: No7 STAY PERFECT EYE PENCIL, £6.50, BOOTS
I am normally a fan of No7 products but this one just didn’t work for me. I found it extremely difficult to get any of the colour onto my eyelids. Even with added pressure it didn’t really give great results. I like my eyeliner to apply in more concentrated amounts than this one. It’s not too expensive a mistake, though.
SALLY HANSEN MEGA SHINE TOP COAT, £6.39, BOOTS
I’m impressed. Micro-diamond particles reflect light and add toughness to his waterproof, polish-fusing top coat. It made my newly-painted nails look as shiny as if I’d had a professional manicure - and dried in 60 seconds. But just as importantly, it keeps polish pristine for much longer. It promises “up to ten days” on the pack, but I’d say expect seven, as a few tiny chips started at day five (which is still brilliant!) I got it on a ‘Buy 1 get 2nd half price’ offer.
