HIT: All-in-one Face Base, £14, Body Shop

I love this product so much! It is much lighter than a foundation but covers really well, and is good value for money as it lasts very well and comes with a sponge and mirror. They have just released extra shades and I found no. 55 is perfect for me, thanks to the very helpful staff who helped me choose it.

MISS: Blanc Indulgence Gift Set, £90, the White Company

I’d always been keen to try some of the bath and body products from the White Company after hearing great reviews. So I splashed out on this set containing a luxurious body cream, bath oil and scented candle. I was disappointed with the body cream; it should have been £30 but it has the same texture as inexpensive E45 cream with a nice smell. The candle is lovely but overall, the set was not worth £90.

Clinique A Different Nail Enamel, £12, Debenhams

This polish has been developed in a formula that is safe to use by women with sensitive skins, who often find that their eyes burn, itch or water when they wear regular polish - and touch their face. I don’t have that problem, but I do love this polish. It glides on smoothly and has a very glossy finish - and the shade I have it in, a rich metallic brown, attracts complements every time I wear it.
